I’ve been offering variations of this class for nearly a decade, and this will be the latest version. Not unlike the experience of looking at a particular tarot card, which always changes as what I’m attending to changes, this introductory class always changes as what I’m reading, doing, and thinking about changes. But it always includes a review of what I consider to be the basics.
We will review the major arcana, minor arcana, suits and court cards. I’ll offer ways to think about working with cards in a personal practice, ideas about querying towards unusual knowledges (in other words, getting outside the echo chamber in which the cards reflect back what you already know), and ways to make sense of learning the cards and interpretation.
My hope is that this class might support the beginning of a personal tarot practice, or infuse new life into an existing one. In other words, though it is an introductory class, all levels are welcome. Please note that I will be teaching with the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, so my interpretations of the major arcana, suits, and court cards will reflect that.
The cost to attend is $25.
When: Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 11am-1pm ET
Where: On Zoom, recording will be provided
