Offerings is the newsletter component of a processual, reader-funded research project that examines experiences of grief, disorientation, unwanted transitions and transformations, and mourning.

I publish Offerings weekly-ish, and they are available in full for paying subscribers and in part for everyone else. I write about things I encounter through the two primary ways that I approach the subjects I study:

1) through the works and writings of philosophers (primarily in the phenomenological tradition); and

2) through first-hand accounts of such experiences.

Because I am conducting this research outside of academia, I rely heavily on open access articles/books/dissertations, publicly available qualitative research databases, oral history archives, memoirs, other nonfiction, and film.
